Billy Joe Scott, 83, of Jacksonport, Arkansas died on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Billy Joe was born in Wardell, Missouri to Charles Jesse Scott and Lillie Jane (Stanfield) Scott on January 5, 1935. He was the retired business owner of Scott's Cleaning Service in southwestern Michigan and in northeastern Arkansas for 40 years. He was a long time member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Benton Harbor, Michigan and in Batesville, Arkansas. Billy Joe is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret (Chesney) Scott. He is also survived by two sons, Billy Don Scott and Joel Lynn Scott of Jacksonport, Arkansas; three daughters, Patricia Eletha Lewis (Bob) of Danville, Indiana, Carolyn Renee Jones (Charles) of Batesville, Arkansas and Anthanette Fike (David) of Louisville, Kentucky. Billy Joe is also survived by seven grandsons, Andrew Scott (Becky), Michael Robertson (Julia), Cameron Scott (Karissa), Devant Holland (Brittany),Trevor Holland, Thomas Fike (Rachel) and Kelly (Heather) Lewis; three granddaughters, Maisie Stubbs(Rodney), Chesney Holland and Angel Fike. Billy Joe is also survived by 11 great grandsons; Bryson Duncan, Forrest Scott, Aven Scott, Beau Holland, Dallas Holland, Bronson McCaje Robertson, Kameryn Schwarz, Keaton Schwarz, Christopher Schwarz, Ethan Schwarz, and Conner Fike;6 great granddaughters; Kinleigh Scott, Kendall Scott, Scarlet Grace Scott, Madison Stubbs, Natalie Stubbs, and Mya Lewis. Billy Joe is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hazel Little of St. Joseph, Michigan and one sister-in-law, Mrs, Mrs. Louise Scott of Benton Harbor, Michigan and many, many wonderful nieces and nephews. Billy Joe was preceded in death by a grandson, Bronson Joel Scott, by his parents ( Charles Jesse Scott and Lille Jane (Stanfield) Scott) by four brothers ( Thomas, Woodrow, Jesse, and Jimmy) and two sisters (Alma Jane Buys, Juanita Little) and one sister-in-law ( Alta Scott), Services are on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville, Arkansas. The Bishop Don Yancey will be officiation the service, with burial in Kyler Cemetery following. Grandsons and Great Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
