Betty Sue Igou, age 77, of Batesville, AR died September 22, 2016, at White River Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1939 in Alligator, MS to the late Prentiss Floyd (Jake) and Allie Mae Blake Barrentine. She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ and enjoyed visiting with all her many friends and family. She graduated from Elaine High School and was a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks Inc. in West Helena, AR for many years. She moved to Batesville in 1982 and worked at Nu-Way and Settles Cleaners until she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; Prentiss Edward, William Earl (Sonny Boy), Henry Frank, and Robert Allen Barrentine and one sister Barbara Jean (Nancy) Barrentine Hodges. Survivors include her husband of 45 years William Henry (Pete) Igou; sister Dorothy Nell Barrentine Johnson of Shelby, MS, twin sister Wanda Lou Barrentine of Batesville, AR; sister Virginia Ann Barrentine Hart of Van Buren, AR; sons James Gaylan Hayes and wife Patricia of Sulphur Rock, AR; Jason Varnell Hayes and wife Tawnya of Olive Branch, MS; William Henry (Bill) Igou Jr. and wife Anita of Bee Branch, AR. She is also survived by five grandsons; Carlton Alexander Hayes and wife Brittany of Rayville, LA; Samuel Logan Hayes of Brandon, MS; Jonathon Vance Hayes and wife Amber of Memphis, TN; Patrick Dylan Hayes of Fayetteville, AR; and Joseph Martin Hayes of Olive Branch, MS; and one granddaughter, Hannah Sullivan Igou of Bee Branch, AR. She has three great grandchildren; Elizabeth Lea Hayes and Myles Alexander Hayes of Rayville, LA and Adalynn Hayes of Memphis, TN. She also has a multitude of nieces and nephews. After God and her family on earth, there was nothing she loved more than making people laugh with all her stories and tales of things that she had experienced in her life. Visitation will be Sunday, September 25th from 3-5 PM and the funeral service will be Monday, September 26th at 10 AM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Steve Smith and Bro. Tom German officiating. A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Walnut Corner, AR at 3 PM. Pallbearers include: Jonathan Hayes, Joseph Hayes, Alex Hayes, Logan Hayes, Dylan Hayes, and Carroll Casey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Betty Sue to the Paragould Children's Home, St. Jude's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
