Betty Jo Duncan was born January 16th, 1939, to Allen and Opal Riley in Batesville, Arkansas. She passed away on March 20th, 2023, at age 84, in Kansas City, MO.

She is survived by her two children, Arthur Duncan Jr (Sharilynn) and Linda Jo Bieri, 4 grandchildren, and numerous great grand pets (as she liked to call them).

She worked most of her career as an employee of the Federal government starting as a Postal Worker and then working for the Social Security Administration.

The legacy she leaves behind is her storytelling. She spent her time telling stories of "back in her days", talking about her numerous road trips, and telling others about her many friends and family she cared for.

She was proud of her Arkansas roots. While she lived in many places across the Midwest, Batesville was the only place she called home.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, starting at 11 a.m., with the funeral service following the visitation starting at 1 p.m. Services will be held at Willis Funeral Service located at 3513 Harrison St. Batesville, Arkansas 72501. The graveside ceremony and interment will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, following immediately after the funeral service.

Betty was not much of a flower person, so the family requests, in lieu of flowers, that a donation be made in her honor to a charitable organization of your choosing.
