Betty Marie Bangs, 61, of Desha, Arkansas passed away in her home Wednesday, July 22, 2015. On this day, Betty went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after twelve long years of fighting cancer. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors with her husband, boys, and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Philip Bangs, of Desha; two sons, Deriek and Amanda Bangs of Bay City, TX, and Dustin and Amanda Bangs of Bigelow, AR; two sisters, Maxine Eddy of Batesville, AR and Rose Palmer of Cave City, AR; four grandchildren, Jonathan Calhoun, Makaylyn Bangs, Jaycie Marie Bangs, and Gunner Wayne Bangs. She was preceded in death by her parents; Mr. and Mrs. Troy Shaver of Guion, AR and four brothers; Donnie, Carl, Morris and Troy Gene Shaver of Guion, AR and two sisters, Diane Ring and Ernestine Shaver both of Guion, AR. Pallbearers are to be; Jeff, Bobby and Jason Eddy, Randy Ring, Charles Brooks, and Leon Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are to be; Donnie, Norris, and Brandon Guynes, Ben West and Rusty Keller.
