Obituary

Arthur Earl Fiske Sr., age 78, of Batesville, Ar.  passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1946, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Horace Everett Fiske Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Dodd.

A proud veteran, Arthur served four years in the United States military during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Korea. After his service, he spent several years as a dedicated truck driver for P&P Trucking, where he was known for his strong work ethic and no-nonsense attitude.

Arthur had a deep love for westerns and professional wrestling, and he was well-known for his sharp tongue, quick wit, and unapologetically bold personality. One of his trademarks was his humorous use of "the finger," which he often flashed as a joke to express his unfiltered spirit and get a good laugh from those around him. He never held back and always said exactly what he thought—and that's exactly how his family and friends loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 28 years, Donna Mae (Biggers) Fiske; his parents; two brothers, William A. Fiske and Horace E. Fiske Jr.; his son, Jeffrey E. Fiske; and a cherished granddaughter, Lacey Beth Branscum.

He is survived by his children: one son, Arthur E. Fiske Jr.; and four daughters, Patricia L. (Richmond) Taylor, Mary E. (Fiske) Abujade, Charity A. (Tosh) Branscum, and Jena R. (Blum) Clark. He also leaves behind one sister, Pearl M. (Fiske) Hensley; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward with love, laughter, and a little bit of attitude.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Willis Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same location, with Larron McClure officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tony Branscum, John Richmond, Josh Biggers, Josh Neprstek, Kash Branscum, and Xayne Boyett.

Arthur will be deeply missed—but never forgotten—for the strong, spirited, and unforgettable man he was.
