Ardith Ardella McAdams, 96, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 11, 2024.

Ardith was born on January 31, 1928 in Michigan to the late Raymond and Hazel (Leeper) Reist.

She attended Cord Baptist Church in Charlotte, Arkansas and was devoted to her Baptist faith.

She married the late Noel "Red" McAdams on December 14,1948 in Arkansas.

Ardith was the matriarch of her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, tending to her roses, traveling, and cooking. She especially loved putting together puzzles, challenging others to card games, and doing her word searches. Spending time with her family was her greatest passion, in particular her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Hazel Reist, husband: Red McAdams, oldest son Michael McDougal, and her nine siblings.

Surviving Ardith are her two daughters: Rosemary McAdams of Charlotte, Arkansas, Alice Long of Bethesda, Arkansas and son Jerry McAdams also of Bethesda. As well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a large number of great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
