Alton Ray Sterling JR, 53, passed away on June 26, 2023. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on November 16, 1969, to Alton and Betty Sterling.

Alton was a kind and simple man who was always willing to help others. He enjoyed the simple things in life, like sitting on his front porch drinking a cold beer and enjoying nature. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alton Ray Sterling SR. He is survived by his mother, Betty Sterling; sons, Stephen Sterling and Justin Sterling; daughters, Heather Roberts, Christina Presley, Lori Sterling, and Briella Sterling; brother, Jimmy Sterling; sister, Becky Redding; and grandchildren, Riley Roberts, Rayden Roberts, River Roberts, Rise Roberts, Rena Roberts, and Colson Presley.
