Alan Ray Cowden, 62, of Batesville, AR, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was born in Batesville on November 26, 1960, to the late Edward Ray Cowden and Anna Faye (McCance) Cowden. He was of the Christian faith and attended services at Cornerstone Community Church. Alan enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Alan is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of more than 40 years, Karen Kessinger Cowden, of the home; his son, Anthony Ray Cowden (Tawny), of Batesville; his daughter, Amy Cowden Reeves (Andy), of Batesville; his brother, Andrew Cowden (Suzette), of Cushman; his two sisters, Kathy Carter (Danny), of Cushman, and Pat Bray (Ronnie), of Sidney; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a visitation at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Friday, July 28, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
