Tommy Doyle Kinion, age 76, of Batesville, Arkansas departed this life March 13, 2017 at the White River Medical Center.
Tommy was born to Harry M. Kinion and Dorothy L. Moore Kinion on September 14, 1940 at Batesville, Arkansas. He was a 1959 graduate of Cushman School and served on the Cushman School Board from 1969-1977.
Tommy spent many of his working years working for Davco Cable Co and retired from Limedale. He was of the Pentecostal faith. His heart of gold and willingness to help anyone were his greatest attributes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. The legacy he left for his family and friends is invaluable and will be greatly cherished. Surviviors include two daughters, Tammy Kinion Luster and Tonya Kinion Elms, and a son, Michael D. Kinion (Tonya), all of Batesville. Grandchildren, Ashley Luster Gallegly (Averie) of Batesville, Ryan Haley (Luke) of Valencia, California, and Taryn Hames (Camron) of Mt. Pleasant. Step-grandchildren, River and Skyla Eason, of Batesville. Great Grandchildren, Kenlee Lynn Gallegly, Kendell Grace Gallegly, Madelyn Elizabeth Hames, and Conway Hudson Hames. Survivors also include brother, Vernon Kinion of Beaumont, California, brother Benny M. Kinion (Mary) of Batesville, and sister, Bonnie Sue Kinion Nelson (Lawrence) of Greenbrier.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his wife, Mary Frances Bramblett Kinion, his brother Lawrence Kinion, and his son-in-law, Nickey Luster.
Visitation will be Thursday March 16th from 5-7 PM and the funeral service will be Friday, March 17th at 2 PM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman.
Pallbearers will be nephews Tony Nelson, George Rea, Joshua Rea, David Cox, Brian McTigue, David McTigue, Danny Kinion. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Barnett and J.D. Pierce.
