Michele Pickens Obituary
Michele (Mickie) Pickens of Batesville Arkansas was born April 18, 1950 in Little Rock Arkansas. Her faith in Christ became sight July 10, 2017. She was 67.
She is survived by a brother Jack Pickens (Cindy) of Searcy; two sisters, Vickie Shaver-Couch (Bill), and Sally Ann Pickens of Batesville.
She was preceded in death by parents Charles J. Pickens and Edna Bratton Pickens; and brother Charley Pickens.
She earned a B. A. from the University of Central Arkansas, and M. A. from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas.
She retired after 35 years of teaching English at The Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas.
Graveside services will be at Oaklawn Cemetery 10:00 a.m. Wednesday under the direction of Willis Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: THE LEGACY FUND at The Marine Military Academy, 320 Iwo Jima Blvd, Harlingen, Texas 78550.
