Laura Montague Obituary
Laura Montague, 59, of Batesville went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018. She was born January 22, 1959 to Jack and Shirley Montague in Memphis, TN. Laura was a graduate of Memphis State University, a retired schoolteacher, and a member of Cord Baptist Church. She loved her grandkids, teaching, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father Jack Montague. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Montague of Cord, one daughter, Lynnsey (Marvin) Baird of Columbus, MS, one son, Ross Simpson of Batesville, two brothers, Michael Montague of Cord, and Matthew Montague of Batesville, two grandsons, Bennett Baird and Brooks Baird, one niece, Mattie Montague, three nephews, Cody Montague, Garrett Montague, and Daniel Montague, as well as numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at the Hopewell Cemetery in Cord under the direction of Willis Funeral Service.
