Joe A. Konkler, 69, of Bethesda passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in Bethesda. He was born September 8, 1945 in Batesville to Edgar Konkler and Lucille Fry Konkler. He was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church, a master mechanic, loved working in his shop and fishing. Joe enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Carrill Konkler of Bethesda; two sons, Billy Joe Konkler and Robert A. "Andy" Konkler both of Bethesda; one sister, Mary Murphy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three nieces, Terri Moore of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Christy Franks and Catherine Terrell both of Batesville; two nephews, Jacob Terrell and Matthew Terrell both Batesville; five grandchildren, A.J. Konkler, Chris Konkler, Alyssa Konkler, Weston Konkler, Kendall Konkler and one foster grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Campground Cemetery in Bethesda with Robert Tidwell officiating. Pallbearers are Rick Ingram, Andy Denham, Dakotah Franks, Steve Queary and Zach Deckard. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Rolins, Delbert Barnett, Larry Barnett, Frank Haltom, Nancy Cossey, Darrell Logan, Johnny Dowell and James Kessinger.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 23, 2015.
