Jack Engles Obituary

Jack Shelby Engles, 67 of Batesville passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Batesville. He was born April 6, 1946 in Batesville to Jack Kirkland Engles and Mary Helen Grimmett Engles. He worked in Law Enforcement, more recently Sales at Ozark Trading Post, was a member of Central Avenue United Methodist Church, was a 32nd Degree Mason and loved going to gun shows and antiquing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Rose Engles.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Engles of the home; one son, Todd Forshee of Springfield, MO; one daughter, Stephanie Engles-Klann of Seattle, WA; three grandchildren, Nicholas Forshee, William Forshee, Lucas Engles-Klann and one great granddaughter, Emmalyn Forshee.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Central Avenue United Methodist Church with Paul Seay and Joe Linam officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Forshee, William Forshee, Jim Ives, Leslie Thomas, Lonnie Taylor and Bob Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lucas Engles-Klann, Jackie Nast, Thurman Lee, Bobby Joe England, Kenny Mead, Don Johnson, Mary Storey, Dr. Bob Slaughter, and Ron Petz.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Service Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Avenue United Methodist Church, 1205 North Central Avenue, Batesville, AR 72501.
