George Beel

George Junius Beel, 91, of Floral went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2018. He was born February 10, 1927 to Charles Henry Beel and Anna May Grady. George was a United States Merchant Marine serving during and after WWII. He retired from Rohm and Haas after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ and enjoyed growing roses and was well known for drinking coffee on his front porch swing while enjoying the view over the bluff.
George is preceded in death by his father and his loving mother Anna May Grady, as well as one daughter, Deborah Renee Gunter.
He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Kay Howell (David), and Cynthia Louise Wolfe (Nick); two sons, Junius Ray Beel (Lianne), and Hank Bradford Beel; one son-in-law, Roy Gunter; one sister, Billie Jean Beel Reed; fourteen grandchildren, Jennifer Hood, Michael Beel, Charlie Beel, Daniel Beel, Walter Eggers, Chris Eggers, Jody Eggers, Alec Beel, Kristin Hatfield, Hank Beel, Jr., Lisl Gunter, Bradford McKinney, Ian Gunter, and Brett Watlington.
Visitation will be Friday, June 29th from 5-7 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 30th at 3 PM at the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Hutchinson Mountain Cemetery in Floral under the direction of Willis Funeral Service.
