Ernest Wayne Jeffrey

Ernest Wayne Jeffrey, 90, of Locust Grove passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Southside. He was born September 3, 1924 in Locust Grove to Stonie Edgar Jeffrey and Euna Edna Elms Jeffrey. He was a truck driver, a cattle farmer and was a member of the Independence County Cattleman's Association. Wayne loved to hunt, fish, meet people, discuss family history and attend reunions.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Wanda Lee Jeffrey of Locust Grove; four daughters, Jeanne Love Huddle of North Little Rock, Juanita Presley of Locust Grove, Judy Martin of Stafford, VA and Jinger Massey of Salado; one brother, Bobby Jeffrey of Sheridan; two sisters, Jolene Thorne of Locust Grove and Mary Alice Southard of Batesville; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Love, Dana Cosper, Jill Cox, Dustie Pryde, Mallory Jaroma, Mitchell Martin, Heather Massey, Josh Massey and six great-grandchildren, Jackson Cosper, Chloe Massey, Clinton Massey, Jacob Cox, Emma Kate Cox and Spencer Burris

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Juanita Jeffrey and one brother, Forrest Jeffrey.

Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Roger Hook officiating. There will be a private burial at Locust Grove Cemetery in Locust Grove. Pallbearers are Bruce Southard, Jeffrey Love, Josh Massey, Carroll Mohlke, Phil Jeffrey and Chip Cosper.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM till service time, Monday, March 9, 2015.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Meadows Employee Educational Fund, 1680 Batesville Boulevard, Batesville, AR 72501
