Ellen Arlene Clanton, 56, born May 31, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois passed away in her home on Hutchinson Mountain with the love of her life Don Smith on August 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Odene and Harry Clanton; and three sisters Carol Eady, Debra Ballard, and Rhonda Andrews. She is survived by three sisters: Patsy White of Alabama, Valerie Lewis of Tennessee, and Regina Clanton of Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday August 10 from 5-7 PM and the funeral service will be Thursday August 11 at 2 PM both at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Wayne Wilson officiating. Pallbearers include: Steven Clanton, Warren Smith, Adam Kelley, Toby Finister, Melvin Brooks, and Judson Echols.
