Verla G Odom

     Verla "CeCe" Geniece Odom, 73, passed away Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 in Cave City Arkansas. Born in Craighead County Arkansas in 1945, she graduated high school in 1962. On March 16th, 1965 she married the love of her life, Marion "Bill" Wilson Odom; remaining together for 41 years, until his passing in 2006. Verla worked as a Training Facilitator for Maxwell Consolidated Exchange at Fort Rucker, Alabama retiring in July 2005.
     CeCe is survived by son, Richard Odom (Carmin) and daughter, Kriste Odom. She also leaves six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, several nieces and nephews, and other close family members. She is preceded by her parents, grandson, husband, son, sister, and brother.
     CeCe was strong-willed, doting, and kind. She held her head high in tough times and never let the fear of uncertainty stop her from doing what was best for her family. Her light will be sorely missed by all who have known the heart and joy she possessed.
     There will be no funeral or memorial service. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Ozark, Alabama. The date is yet to be determined.
