Robert Kennith Fields, 69, died on October 3, 2019 in Batesville, AR. He was born on August 14, 1950 in Helena Arkansas to the late Robert B. Fields and Peggy Morrelle. He loved to do woodwork and rock work. He was a Towboat Pilot and Captain. He worked on the Towboat for over 45 years for Magnolia Marine Transport in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He loved spending time on the river.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marlyn Joyce, his brother Ted Smith and sister Mary Ann Fields. He is survived by 1 daughter Sonya Fields and her finance Tommy Inman, of Batesville, AR. 3 stepdaughters Tresia Elumbaugh (Joel) of Batesville, AR., Alesia Qualls (Robert) of Batesville, AR. and Melessa Thomas (Jay) of Cord, AR. He is also survived by grandchildren, Aaron Barnett, Dylon Barnett, Heather Pratt, Heath Spooner, Bo Qualls Chris Williams, James Mansfield and Justin Mansfield, and 10 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service. There will be a funeral service Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. and a visitation from 6-8 PM on Sunday October 6, 2019, both at Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. Bro. Gaylon England will be officiating. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Heath Spooner, Dylon Barnett, Joel Elumbaugh, Tom Inman, Randy Spooner, Bo Qualls and Josh Morrell. Honorary Pallbearers: Connor Spooner, Hunter Pratt, Jace Qualls, Dakota Williams, Noah Mansfield, Zoey Mansfield, and Jonathon Williams. Burial will be at Kyler Cemetery. in lieu of flowers send donations to the American Cancer Society.
