Linda Mitchell

     Linda Sue (Winkle) Mitchell, 64 passed away on  December 23, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro,Arkansas. She was born on November 17,1955 in Batesville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Dwine Winkle and Margie Rudene (Anderson) Winkle.

     Linda worked for White River Medical Center in various positions and retired in 2014 after 38 years of service. She had a wonderful smile that would light up a room, a caring person who would always help those in need. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends, most especially her grandchildren. Linda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville, Arkansas.

     She is survived by her husband of 35 years Danny J. Mitchell, daughter Heather (Mitchell) Kelley, son-in-law  Bruce Kelley, grandchildren Sarah and Ethan Kelley of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Also survived by brothers Don Winkle and Mike Winkle of Batesville, Arkansas, uncle Carl Anderson and aunts Billie Winkle Sprague and Sue Winkle Strait , nephews Wesley and Ryan Winkle and nieces Shelia Winkle Grizzle and Gerrica Winkle Waid,and a host of grand nieces and nephews.

     Visitation will be held on Friday December 27, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Saturday December 28th at 1:00 p.m. also at Willis Chapel. Burial will be held Monday December 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Arkansas. Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church of Batesville or to the American Cancer Society.
