John Johnson Obituary

John William Johnson, 89, of Batesville, Ar. passed away Wed. Oct. 17, 2018. He was born on June 19, 1929 to Norman and Lillie (Lissinger) Johnson in Augusta, Ar. John was a family man from the time the children were born and even mowing the girls yards after they were grown. He just loved his family from his children to his great great grandchildren. When he wasn't doing for his family members you could probably find him outside washing his car. He enjoyed taking care of whatever car he was driving at the time. He was preceded in death by wife, Julie Taylor Johnson; parents, Norman and Lillie Johnson; son, John William Johnson; two sisters, Louise Bogard, Novella Carlile; grandson, Randy Johnson. He is survived by four daughters, Brenda Shelton (Harry) of Searcy, Ar., Glenda Sue Elms of Batesville, Ar., Diane Barber of Batesville, Ar., Lillie Howard (Lacy) of Cave City, Ar.; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Goodin, Tamara Girtman, Susan Stephens, Stephen Pierce, Tonya Goad, Fonda Johnson, Chris Howard, Shane Prestidge. ten great grandchildren, Logan Goodin, Wesley Goodin, Brody Girtman, Audrey Girtman, Michael Mobley, Josh Stephens,  Jordan Stephens Brittney Martin, Tyler Goad, Summer Batson. three great great grandchildren, Noah Martin, Kase Batson, Brylie Gladden. Celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
