     James Martin Smith of Batesville, Ar passed from this world on Thursday January 17, 2019 at the age of 85. James lived a full life and left at tremendous impact on everybody that his life touched.James enjoyed working on cars, spending time at the shop in Cushman, always taking time on Wednesdays to play dominoes there. James loved education, finally earning his Masters degree at the University of New Mexico. He loved Geneology and History. James left his mark in the history of this country with his service in the United States Army. James will be missed and remembered for the impact and influence he had on all the people that his life touched. He was preceeded in death by his parents John Duel Smith and Mary Captolia (Herndon) Smith; wife, Shirely Ann (Harmon)Smith and four brothers:  Carl Dean Smith, Howard Duane Smith, Gene Smith,  and Billy Charles Smith. He is survived by his son Jimmy Lynn Smith and Daughter Debra Heuer. Four Grandchildren:  Dustin Heuer, Todd Aaron Smith, Johnathan William Smith, and Sara Jolynn Smith. Six Great Grandchildren:  Declan Lavoy Heuer, Elizabeth Smith, Joshua Smith, Jacob Smith, Carlie Smith and Terri Smith.There will be a celebration of life for James on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Assembly of God in Cushman, AR at 2PM, Bro. Carl Blankenship will be officiating. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. James Smith
