Glen Edward Wood

     Glen Edward Wood, 77, of Pleasant Plains passed away Monday July 8, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family. Glen will always be remembered as a very loving and providing leader of his family. Glen was a very hard working man, mainly though as a truck driver for 43 years. Glen enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Glen loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served him in life and as a member at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains. Glen is preceded in death by both of his parents, William Lester Wood and Zella Irene (Wilcox) Wood, and two brothers:  Carl and Charles Wood. Glen is survived by his wife, of an amazing 57 years, Norma (Cranford) Wood, his daughter, Carma (Mark) Carpenter, his two sons:  Casey (Melissa) Wood, and Nathan (Amy) Wood, one brother Leonard Wood, 11 grandchildren:  Ethan (Brittany) Carpenter, Quincey (Jeremy) Banks, Lauren (Kevin) Jackson, Kayla (Andy) Adair, Tanner (Sydney) Wood, Layton Foppiano, Joel Carpenter, Abigail Wood, Griffin Wood, Cade Wood, and Heith Wood, and 6 great grandchildren:  Tristian Banks, Keelan Carpenter, Corbayn Carpenter, Farrah Banks, Tinley Jackson, and Zella Adair. Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday July 12 from 1-2 PM followed by a 2PM Funeral Service, both at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains, AR with burial at Union Grove Cemetery.
