Billie Jean Thompson Clark Estes went to her heavenly home June 23, 2019. Born December 24, 1926 to Thomas E. Campbell and Katie (Porton) Campbell in Ardmore, OK. She graduated in 1947 from Calico Rock, AR. She entered her vocation as a nurse at Gray’s Hospital and later went to work for Dr. JE Lytle in December of 1959 until 1978. She then worked at White Rogers for 11 years and also worked part time at Willis Funeral Service. Billie was a member of Weaver’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Roland, Alfred (Boots), Alton and FD Campbell; three husbands, Paul Thompson, who was father of their two children, Rev. Lonnie Clark and Loyd Estes; stepson, Joe Clark; and son-in-law, Stanley Lewis.
She is survived by 2 daughters, June Lewis and Wanda Thompson of Batesville; one granddaughter, Melissa (Steven) Story; one grandson, Dylan Story, all of Cave City; step-children Sky (Paula) Clark, Rosetta (Richard) Richardson; daughter-in-law, Helen Clark, Randy Estes, Regina (Everett) Richardson, Renee (Gil Birklund); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorene Estes and Dorthy Heckadon of Texas; sister-in-law, Wanda Campbell of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Willis Funeral Service in Batesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be Thursday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at Willis Funeral Chapel, with burial following at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, AR
