Carlos Gentry Smith

Carlos Gentry Smith, 89, passed away on February 19, 2024, in Batesville, AR. He was born on August 15, 1934, in Guntown, Mississippi, to the late Leo Smith and Audrey (Gentry) Smith. Carlos loved driving a truck and was a member of the United States Air Force. He was also a member of Harrison Street Church of Christ and was a song leader for forty years. Above all else, Carlos was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all those blessed to know him.

Carlos is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Judy (McDoniel) Smith; son, Jerry Bryan Smith; daughters, Angela Lynn Hensley (Rick) and Anna Kathryn Lindsey (Stroup); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Leonette Petrie, Ivadene Gibson, and Anita Worthen; and two brothers, Charles Smith and Gerald Smith. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Harrison Street Church of Christ, Saturday, March 2, 2024, starting at 2pm.
