Philip Bangs Obituary
Philip Wayne Bangs, 64, passed away Monday, July 31st, 2017. He was born March 18th, 1953 in Batesville, Arkansas to his parents Paul and Gracie Bangs. He was a member of the Desha First Baptist Church of Desha, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on old vehicles, go-kart racing, and memories made during the time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Bangs.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Gracie Bangs; two sons, Deriek Bangs and his wife Amanda, Dustin Bangs and his wife Amanda; two sisters, Linda Woodard and Juanita Cothrine; seven grandchildren, Leslie Fields, Hannah Fields, Jonathan Calhoun, Marcus Fields, Makaylyn Bangs, Jaycie Bangs, and Gunner Bangs; and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, August 4th from 6-8 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 5th at 2 PM at the Desha First Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Mohlke and Bro. Josh Swinea officiating. Burial will follow at the Marcella Cemetery of Marcella, Arkansas.
Pallbearers include, Donnie Guynes, Chris Dunegan, Jeff Eddy, Billy Thomas, Joshua Woodard, and Ken Medlock.
