Montene Smith Obituary
Montene M Smith, 89, passed away Saturday, November 18th, 2017. She was born November 9th, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas. She was a member of Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of the Sulphur Rock Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a past mayor of Sulphur Rock.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy McSpadden and Beulah (King) McSpadden; her husband, George Smith; her son, Mike Smith; her daughter, Debra Smith; and her brother, Pete McSpadden.
She is survived by her sister, Doris Davis; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and a special care giver, Geneva Keck.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 19th from 5-8 PM at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 20th at 10 AM at the Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Rian Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at the Barren Fork Cemetery of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers include, Kendall Batson, Ronnie Sexton, Jim West, Jim Burrow, and Dennis Stephens.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Dr. Roy Kamoga, Darrel Crabtree, Bill Qualls, Alan Meinzer, Rian Puckett, Patrick Bray, Paul Bray, and the 3rd floor staff at the White River Medical Center.
