Leona Duncan Obituary
Leona Hawkins Brokaw Duncan, 90 of Batesville passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 in Batesville. She was born April 22, 1923 in Paragould to Ephram Hawkins and Ethel Barber. She was a homemaker and was a member of Weavers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Willis C. Brokaw and John W. Duncan both of Batesville; two stepsons, Danny Duncan and Randy Duncan both of Bakersville, CA; four brothers, Emerett Hawkins and Charles Hawkins of PA, W.J. Hawkins of Sulphur Rock, Paul Hawkins of Batesville; two sisters, Alene Chrispen of PA, and Cleo Reynolds Banks of Batesville.
Survivors include two sons, James Brokaw and Robert Brokaw both of Batesville; two stepsons, Larry Duncan and Rodney Duncan both of Bakersville, CA; one daughter, Sue Lewis of Cave City; two brothers, Albert Hawkins of WV and Ray Hawkins of IN; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen, PO Box 660843, Dallas, TX 75266-0843.
