James Eddie Fairfield, 67, of Batesville passed away Friday, March 14, 2014 in Batesville. He was born January 16, 1947 in Batesville to Warren Gagnon and Gladys Morrow Gagnon. He served in the Army and the Navy. He was a retired truck driver for Walmart and of the Church of Christ faith. Eddie was a Mason, a Shriner, enjoyed antique tractors and served on the Walmart Safety Committee.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Morthole of West Sacramento, CA; his wife, Francey Fairfield of the home; two sons, Jason Bardis of Huntsville, AL and Tim Bardis of Southside; two brothers, John Varner of Reno, NV and Billy Varner of Norton, KS; five sisters, Debbie Varner Gibbs of Chico, CA, Jo Ann Varner Goodwin of Camino, CA, Tina Steele and Gina Fontanilla both of Sacramento, CA, Karen Bustillos of West Sacramento and six grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and one sister, Candi Tynes.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Tom German officiating. There will be a private interment in the Egner Cemetery at Salado.
Visitation is 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday, March 17, 2014.
