Elvada Alma Smart, 93, of Batesville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Batesville. She was born September 7, 1921 in Magness to Henry Reding and Neil Cook Reding. She was a retired dietician, a member of First Church in Batesville, and loved to volunteer at the Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include her two sons, Alvin Smart and his wife, Sharon, of Batesville and Bob Smart of Batesville; one brother, H.A. Reding of Dumas; two sisters, Delois Ruple of Little Rock and Juanita Bolin of Batesville; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Johnny Hall; her second husband, Alfred Smart; two sons, Kenneth Hall and Ted Hall; four sisters, Virginia Lingo, Ruth Ford, Susie Barnes and Geraldine Kissner and two brothers, Harlous Altom and Shelby Reding.
Graveside Services will be 11 A.M., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark with Bro. M.D. Parmley officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Ms. Smart's grandsons.
